Advanced Chess for Kids - 7 weeks, in-person

In this 7-week course, FM Michael Humphreys shows you how to develop and refine your opening skill set, but be prepared! The development of any skill requires continual practice and effort. This course is not for the faint of heart! Kids advanced classes are 1.5 hrs. long class is 1.5 hrs. in length and begin at 6:00 PM most Mondays. Classes may be purchased on an a-la-carte basis and attended on that basis, with the Instructor's permission. (This course started in week #2 of 8.)

Students should already be familiar with the concepts covered in our Kids Intermediate Chess course.

Lesson 3: Principles of Hypermodern Chess

Lesson 4: Recurring Themes in the Opening

Lesson 7: From the Opening to the Endgame

Lesson 8: Psychology and Risk Management in the Opening

Class dates are: January 23/30, February 6/13/27, and March 6/13. No class will be held on Family Day, February 20.
