Annex Chess Club (ACC) has in-person chess classes running most Monday nights. We have separate courses for kids and adults, organized into four or eight courses. Any person may drop in to try a class, or purchase an entire course.
Our instructors adjust the topics covered to best suit the needs of the students.
Course content is generally the same for kids and adults. Classes involve a mix of lecture, discussion, and game play. Homework is sometimes given.
For absolute beginners, we recommend the four-week beginner's course.
Intermediate classes offer greater flexibility. The content of some advanced classes is sequential and, accordingly, a discussion with the Instructor is a good idea before trying to enter mid-way through or to skip certain topics.
ACC members receive a discount on all classes.
