Chess For Everyone!
Weekly Tournament "A" ("Knight Moves"; Mondays, 5 rounds, in-person): This ACC 5-week tournament starts on March 20, 2023. It is a 90'+30" classical Swiss tournament. There will be three sections, Crown (1800+) and U1800 and U1400. Players may play up a section, if their CFC (or equivalent) rating is within 100 points of that section. The Crown Section will be FIDE-rated, provided minimum criteria are satisfied. All sections will also be CFC-rated. Play dates are: Mar 20/27 and April 3/17/24. No games will be played on April 10 (Easter Monday). All bye requests (half-pt. or 0-pt.) should be emailed to: info@annexchessclub.com. Notes: ACC Full Members may register themselves here for free, instead of signing up by email to info@annechessclub.com. Non-members may register themselves and pay for the 5-week tournament fee of $65 ($45 for juniors) + HST. Non-members may also register for specific rounds by paying the nightly tournament fee of $18 ($12 for juniors) + HST. By doing these online registrations, we hope to reduce our front-desk admin work at ACC. Currently, online registration for our 5-week tournaments is optional. Keith Denning is our designated arbiter for this event. During registration, we will ask you which rounds you intend to play in, with the assumption that you will seek byes (up to two half-point and additional 0-pt. byes) for any rounds you are not playing in.
