Dates: Friday May 15, 2026 — Monday May 18, 2026.
Rounds: Round one: Friday May 15 @ 7:00 p.m. Subsequent rounds at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday May 16, Sunday May 17 and Monday May 18.
Default time: from the posted start time, sixty minutes for round one, thirty minutes for subsequent rounds.
Format: seven-round Swiss tournament, with the following sections: Crown, U2200, U2000, U1800, U1600, U1300.
Time control: 90 minutes + 30 second increment
Rating: All sections CFC-rated. Crown, U2200 and U2000 also FIDE-rated. A valid CFC membership is required. Section eligibility determined by highest of CFC rating, FQE rating or FIDE rating.
Minimum rating for Crown section is 2200 CFC or 2000 FIDE.
Location: TBA, but central Toronto.

Prizes: Prize fund of $7500 (based on 250 entrants), with guaranteed $1500 for first place, prizes for top three in each section.
Prizes also for top senior, junior, woman and ACC member in each section. Prizes will not be stacked.
Prizes in U1300 are medals, not cash.
A six-month membership at ACC will be offered to the top three of each section (who are not ACC members.)
Entry Fee:
- Early bird: $105 through April 15, 2026
- Regular: $125 April 16 through May 7, 2026
- Last-minute: $140 May 8, 2026 to 12:00 noon May 15 2026. No onsite registration.

- $20 discount for ACC members, seniors (60 and over) and juniors (18 and under), to a maximum discount of $20.
Byes: A maximum of two half-point byes are available for rounds 1-5. Further byes are zero-point. Please email tournaments@annexchessclub.com for bye requests.
Play-up: Players may play up a section if they are within 100 points of the rating floor of the next section, based on their rating as of August 28 2025. The play-up fee is $20, payable on arrival to the tournament. All play up requests must be emailed to tournaments@annexchessclub.com.
