The 2012 Canadian Military Chess Championship will take place in Québec City this weekend, May 4 to 6.
The tournament is open not only to active Canadian Forces (CF) personnel, but also to retired CF members and civilian employees at the Department of National Defence (DND). However, with three games on Friday, and rounds starting at 0830 on Saturday and Sunday, they’d better be in good shape!
Paul Leblanc, retired from the Royal Canadian Navy, is the defending champion.
