Notes:
- As of March 1, 2023, ACC increased its overall prices ("New Prices") for the first time since its 2010 inception.
- ACC became registered for HST effective Jan. 1, 2023. Our HST # is 739831345.
- ACC memberships include free casual play. ACC pay-as-you-go-fees are an alternative to paying ACC membership fees.
- Annual ACC and CFC memberships are good for one year from date of purchase/renewal. CFC fees paid to ACC are remitted on behalf of the player to CFC. "CFC" stands for Chess Federation of Canada and enables players to play in Canadian rated chess tournaments.
- For ACC, at membership purchase/renewal: a junior is <18 yrs; a senior is 60+ yrs; and a student is 18+ years and in school for at least 6 mths. of the year.
- ACC weekly tournaments are all 5-weeks in length. The only exception is the ACC Club Championship which is 6 weeks in length.
- For CFC memberships purchased/renewed in 2023, a junior is anyone whose birth year is 2003 or later.
- QR = CFC quick-rated (i.e. blitz and rapid). CFC single tournament fees are an alternative to a CFC annual membership.
- CFC fees are all based on HST-included pricing.
- ACC classes are: i) 1.0 hour long for ADULT Beginners and KIDS Beginners/Intermediate; and ii) 1.5 hrs. long for ADULT Intermediate/Advanced and KIDS Advanced. Beginner classes are continuously run as a 4-week course. Intermediate and Advanced classes are continuously run as an 8-week course.
- Classes paid for, but missed by a student, may be used at any time within the following six-month period.
- Currently, In-person (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced) and Online (Advanced) classes are offered. In-person and Online classes are priced the same.
- There is no HST on our kid's classes.
- ACC Members are entitled to the following additional discounts on classes listed above: In-person—15% (Full Members) and 10% (Casual Members); and Online—20% (all Members).
