  1. May I see the pre-registered list for this tournament? I am thinking of withdrawing if the average skill level is well below mine. Thanks.

    1. I think most people are signing up on site. A few signed up in advance. Moises Cornelio signed up. I think he’s pretty strong. He’s been playing some blitz with Sergey Noritsyn the last couple weeks …

  2. Hopefully, we get many of the usual suspects out, and possibly a few surprises in the line-up! You never know who comes out of the woodwork for a rapid …

  3. Hi,
I would like to play in this tournament. I am not a member and not a rated player. Can I participate in this tournament?
If yes when is the tournament happening?

    Regards,
    Subash

    1. Hi, Subash.
The tournament starts at 7:30. If you’re not a member, just show up before 7:00 so you’re paired for Round One. For non-members, there’s just a $15 drop-in fee. You can put this towards your club membership if you decide to join in a week or two.

You don’t have to have a rating, but the event is rated so you do have to be a CFC member. That’s the national federation and belonging to it allows you to play in rated events anywhere in the country. It’s $48 per year, and you can get it at our club as well.

      Hope to see you tonight!

      Best,
      Marcus
