Children’s Club Championship

Who is the champion of the ACC kids?

A new CFC-rated chess tournament is starting next week: Monday April 11. This one will be the ACC Children’s Club Championship, which means the winner will be ACC children’s champion!

Tournament rounds will take place during the regular 6:30 to 8:30 pm children’s programme, and our coaches will be available as always to help children learn from their games. Games will be recorded in chess notation and will be played with a chess clock, and we will help the children to become comfortable with both of these aspects of tournament chess. The tournament will run for five consecutive Monday nights (not including Easter Monday April 25); half-point byes are available for rounds a player cannot attend.

Chess parents, please email to let us know whether or not your child will be coming (or arrive at 6:30) so that we can pair everyone with an opponent for the tournament.
